Check out our latest garden treasures, these cute little carrots! 🥕 As part of this ongoing activity, clients have been discussing the importance of patience, persistence, and daily nourishment/maintenance for their garden-- even and especially when there is no visible progress being made. Sounds a bit like recovery, doesn't it? Through gardening, clients observe how plants require different levels of sunlight, different methods of care, and different amounts of attention, etc. Clients also get to experience joyful movement and create a sense of community! The process of gardening, or any kind of growth or healing, can be just as fulfilling as the end result. When we only fixate on a goal, we leave no room for forgiveness because all we see is how there is left to go. When we focus on where we are, we see that the present is plenty, and not nearly as lonely. Recovery happens in community, and community is in the present. Have a wonderful weekend, and #getyourhandsdirty. ♥️ . . . . . #gardening #community #eatingdisorder #eatingdisorders #recovery #edrecovery #healing #selflove #selfcare #persist #anorexia #bulimia #edrecoverywarrior #awareness #bingeeatingdisorder #bodypositivity #alsanarecovery #alsana #adaptivecare #qualitycare #healing #gratitude #ARFID #OSFED #orthorexia #connect #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #dietculturesucks
